Cause and Effect

Intelligent design and intelligent observation
Go hand in hand: there is no randomness in our history.
Seek the unseen in that which you see. Is there a foundation,
A certainty that is purposely veiled by a mystery?
Are there not forces in this world--in nature and beyond it--
Which have deftly revealed the great cause hidden in the effect?
If love has been woven into the design, gaze upon it,
But not merely externally; let your inner eye detect
The wonders of an intricately fashioned world around you,
And you will find wonders within, which will also astound you.

Shades of Orange

Chew on that sunshine, then lick the snow:
Good Humor mem'ries from long ago...
Mmmm, creamsicle orange.

Tangerine orb seeks blue lemonade.
Sunset martini, please stay--don't fade!...
Tropic twilight orange.

Tangy, gummy slices make me smile:
Sweet, crescent moons in the candy aisle!...
Brach's mandarin orange.

The Great Pumpkin seeks a patch sincere;
Linus is sure this will be his year...
Bright Halloween orange.

Ginger kitty asleep in the shade--
Tabby, I shall dub thee Marmalade!
Looks-like-Garfield orange.
