Looks like they're quietly lazing,
But little flowers are praising
Their maker ebulliently.
Even when storm clouds assemble,
Petals awakened resemble
Heaven's winged entities.
And if I choose to see
That which my eyes can't see,
I can sense their joy and hear their invitation.
Spellbound by their song,
I dance and sing along;
I'm suddenly part of a vast congregation.
Watching the lilies beginning
Their day without toiling or spinning,
I marvel, for they are arrayed
More splendidly than Solomon.
They welcome the dawning sun,
And remind me when I feel dismayed
That if I choose to see
That which my eyes can't see,
I can sense their joy and hear their invitation.
Spellbound by their song,
I dance and sing along;
I'm suddenly part of a vast congregation.
[Extended Instrumental interlude]
Spellbound by their song,
I dance and sing along.
Then I close my eyes for a closer observation.
[Brief Instrumental Interlude]
Looks like they're quietly lazing,
But little flowers are praising
Their Maker ebulliently.
