The wind is singing out a melody,
And hearts that are willing to listen intently
Shall hear what blinded eyes will someday see:
The wonders which have been withheld from you and me.
What we truly are is what we shall someday be:
No fetters, no walls between us; we shall be free.
It's coming, it's dawning; there'll be no postponing
The truth when it finally appears.
Be still, now, and listen: creation is groaning,
Spellbound by the music of the spheres.
Close your eyes, and let your spirit see
That blessed day when we shall be free.
It shall ignite the pow'r of the four winds
And become a mighty flame of boundless mercy.
There'll be no stopping it when it begins;
It will demolish the walls between you and me.
Heaven shall descend, and the earth will gladly yield
To the wondrous light, the truth that shall be revealed.
It's coming, it's dawning; there'll be no postponing
The truth when it finally appears.
Be still, now, and listen: creation is groaning,
Spellbound by the music of the spheres.
Close your eyes, and let your spirit see
That blessed day when we shall be free.
Forest creatures and birds shall rejoice;
Rivers, mountains and valleys will applaud.
Joyfully, with one expectant voice,
Earth and all its inhabitants will laud
The heavenly light above,
The magnificence of love.
It's coming, it's dawning; there'll be no postponing
The truth when it finally appears.
Be still, now, and listen: creation is groaning,
Spellbound by the music of the spheres.
Close you eyes, choose to believe it, and you will see:
Free at last, thank God Almighty, we shall be free.
