I'll Take Your Love

If I set my affections on what I think I want,
I'll lose out on love.
If I chase my dark ambitions; if a lie is what I flaunt,
I'll lose out on love.

I'll take your love;
Lead me out of this selfish place.
Without your love,
Life is just a dark, placeless space.
What if set my affections on things above?
Sounds like a plan; I think I'll take your love.

If I run into darkness and tell myself it's light,
I'll lose out on love.
If I sit with the scoffers who tell me wrong is right,
I'll lose out on love.

I'll take your love;
Lead me out of this selfish place.
Without your love,
Life is just a dark, placeless space.
What if set my affections on things above?
Sounds like a plan; I think I'll take your love.

Why do I chase wayward dreams?
Why do I doubt you when they fall apart?
Unstitch these seams; undo my schemes.
Unlace this knotted, untrustworthy heart.

I am broken, but take me anyway.
I am weary, but hear me when I say...

I'll take your love;
Lead me out of this selfish place.
Without your love,
Life is just a dark, placeless space.
What if set my affections on things above?
Sounds like a plan; I think I'll take your love.
