Little Yeshua

I see a star coming forth from Jacob,
A scepter rising out of Israel;
The Lord your God will raise up a prophet,
And they shall call his name Emmanuel.

For unto us a child is born,
And he shall sit on David's throne.

Little Yeshua;
Infant Word of God;
Light of heaven,
Wrapped in swaddling clothes;
Baby Yeshua;
Holy Child of Love;
Infant Savior;
Luminous Logos.

And you, little Bethlehem Ephratah,
Though you are meek and lowly in Judah,
From you a ruler shall come forth for me,
Whose goings forth are from antiquity.

For unto us a child is born,
And he shall sit on David's throne.

Little Yeshua;
Infant Word of God;
Light of heaven,
Wrapped in swaddling clothes;
Baby Yeshua;
Holy Child of Love;
Infant Savior;
Luminous Logos.

Have you not seen? Have you not heard?
In the beginning was the Word,
And the Word was with God,
And the Word was God:
The true light who gives his light to everyone,
The Logos, our Lord and King, the Father's Son.

A Savior born in Bethlehem,
The King of fair Jerusalem...

Little Yeshua;
Infant Word of God;
Light of heaven,
Wrapped in swaddling clothes;
Baby Yeshua;
Holy Child of Love;
Infant Savior;
Luminous Logos.

The Message is Love

No loud control-freak-warrior type;
No vacuous, wild, flesh-tingling hype;
No eardrum-shattering, rah-rah noise;
No come-as-you-are-not, guilt-trip ploys.

No cold, judgmental semonizing;
No cruel "endless torment" threats as bait;
No sly, sleight-of-hand patronizing;
No cool-cat cliques, no collection plate.

The message is love,; it's crystal clear:
"There's mercy and grace abundant here!"
And always remember, "God loves you!"
If you're conveying that, that will do.

No spin-the-wheel-again, game-show pleas;
No special treatment for VIPs;
No angry-deity point of view;
No do-as-I-say,-not-as-I-do.

The message is love; it's crystal clear:
"There's mercy andgrace abundant here!"
And always remember, "God loves you!"
If you're conveying that, that will do.

Those who are seeking shall surely find
Joy in the Spirit and peace of mind.
Love's gonna win, when it's all said and done;
The gospel is good news for everyone!

The message is love; it's crystal clear:
"There's mercy andgrace abundant here!"
And always remember, "God loves you!"
If you're conveying that, that will do.

Oasis

There are no church bells pealing,
No congregation kneeling;
Only the sound of the wind,
Blowing wildly across the desert sand.

No nightingales are singing,
No holy fountains springing;
Only a voice beckoning
Deep within, and an unseen guiding hand.

Thunder and lightning find me.
Lead me to safety; hide me.
My every doubt abate;
Comfort me with your all-sufficient grace.

Here in this sanctuary
My many cares I'll bury.
Here I will quietly wait
For the morning, resting in your embrace.

Judas Unbound

Oh traitor of traitors, why have you come here?
Who summoned you out of the cavernous deep?
No guilt in your eyes now, no visage austere.
From shadowy vale to heights glorious you leap!

What power unchained you and altered your fate?
Who lifted the veil of disconsolate shame?
Did love reach you somehow? Is it not too late?
How did your soul escape the consuming flame?

Did you not betray your true love with a kiss?
Did you not break his heart in Gethsemane?
Did he call you, bless you, and love you amiss?
Or did he know his love would set your soul free?

Remorseful you ran, for you could not undo
The vile deed. But now you believe that he cried,
"Oh Father, forgive; they know not what they do!"
Were you on his mind as he suffered and died?

The flames have engulfed you and thoroughly purged
The dark consequences of your wretched choice.
In garments immaculate you have emerged
Before the Almighty, O Judas; rejoice!

Dancing in the Downpour

I was weary;
I was thirsty;
I had just about had enough.
I was drifting;
I was wasted;
And it hit me when you called my bluff.

You came my way
Like a mighty gust;
I left my doubts
In a cloud of dust.

Now I'm dancing in the downpour;
Gonna turn this road into a dance floor,
As you cover me with drops of love.
Oh, shower me with mercy from above.

I was leaving;
I was staying;
I really didn't have a clue.
I was fearful;
I was praying.
What could I do but call on you?

You came my way
Like a mighty gust;
I left my doubts
In a cloud of dust.

Yes, I'm dancing in the downpour;
Gonna turn this road into a dance floor,
As you cover me with drops of love.
Oh, shower me with mercy from above.

Fall, and fill
This stubborn, barren heart.
Fall, until
Love flows through every part
Of this dry, desert plain.
Overwhelm me now, blessed rain.

Instrumental interlude

Yes, I'm dancing in the downpour;
Gonna turn this road into a dance floor,
As you cover me with drops of love.
Oh, shower me with mercy from above.

Said I'm dancing in the downpour;
Gonna turn this road into a dance floor,
As you cover me with drops of love.
Oh, shower me with mercy from above.

Oxygen and Light

Untamed wind, waltzing through the halls of time,
Radiant wonder; beacon celestial sublime,
Evermore blissful, beatifically blue:
Evermore I'll be communing with you.

Without you, in a somber, forgotten age,
I'm just a dancer sitting on a cold, dark stage.

Spirit of boundless mercy, ever enfolding me;
Heavenly presence, piercing and driving away the night;
Breath of life, Grace abundant, ever sustaining me;
Bathe me in love more essential than oxygen and light.

Steadfast friend, you are my heart's true delight.
Faithful companion, peace garbed in raiments of white.
Nevermore in darkness I'll exist;
Nevermore, my love, shall I resist

The urge to tell myself that you are the one
Whose breath is life, whose beauty outshines the sun.

Spirit of boundless mercy, ever enfolding me;
Heavenly presence, piercing and driving away the night;
Breath of life, Grace abundant, ever sustaining me;
Bathe me in love more essential than oxygen and light.

You are the wondrous world I was meant to discover.
If I have lost my mind, may I never recover.
Who was I, dear Friend, before you found me?
Lifelessness entombed till you unwound me.

Spirit of boundless mercy, ever enfolding me;
Heavenly presence, piercing and driving away the night;
Breath of life, grace abundant, ever sustaining me;
Bathe me in love more essential than oxygen and light.
