This Abyss

Angry outbursts...
Hits and misses...
Paradise cursed...
This abyss isn't home sweet home.

I don't know what you are looking for,
And you don't see my soul anymore.

The bitter aftertaste of a kiss:
Is this the fade-out of peaceful bliss?
What we once treasured, we've judged amiss.
How did we end up in this abyss?

Storms colliding...
Weak defenses...
We're slip-sliding...
Fragile senses sense no hope.

You say you feel trapped inside this lie;
I don't want to know the reasons why.

The bitter aftertaste of a kiss:
Is this the fade-out of peaceful bliss?
What we once treasured, we've judged amiss.
How did we end up in this abyss?

Is there no hope for us?
Have all our dreams been banished?
Is this the end of love?
What we once shared has vanished!

Is this a mutual Judas' kiss?
Eden is gone, yet I hear a hiss.
Don't try to save this; don't reminisce.
Nothing to salvage in this abyss.

The bitter aftertaste of a kiss:
This is the fade-out of peaceful bliss!
What we once treasured, we've judged amiss.
How did we end up in this abyss?
Nothing to salvage in this abyss.
All hope is lost now. . .in this abyss.
